Father's Wine (父のワイン)
By Nishiurawa in "Modern Hyakumonogatari: Kowai Hanashi"
Hari's father was a wine connoisseur.
In his wine cellar he had painstakingly assembled a collection which he was quite proud of.
"When I die I'm taking all my wine with me."
Getting drunk and talking about his prized wine with slurred speech was a habit of his.
Last year, Hari's father got sick and died.
After the funeral, the family started talking about what to do with his wine and whether or not they should drink it.
Right away, they selected one of his prized bottles from the wine cellar and poured it into a glass.
However, as soon as they put their lips to the glass, they could tell it was way too sour to drink.
They tried other bottles, but all the wine had turned to vinegar.
