Ever since Kawazoe received the charm, terrible things have been happening to her.
Without a doubt Chihiro must know the reason for this. She immediately called Chihiro's cell phone. But no matter how many times she tried, Chihiro never picked up.
In this situation the only thing left for her to do was to search through every single shop in Harajuku that Chihiro might visit. But after looking through every shop she knew of, she couldn't find any selling the same charm.
(Maybe she didn't get it in Harajuku?)
Kawazoe was about to give up and head home when she saw a girl passing by who was wearing the same charm.
"Hey, could you tell me where you bought that charm?"
The girl said she bought it at a booth in Omotesando and Kawazoe started running in that direction.
When she arrived, she saw that a bunch of foreigners had set up an open air market.
On a piece of cloth about the size of a tatami mat there were ornamental trinkets lined up, and among them was the charm.
"Welcome! That is lucky charm, you know. Wear and good thing comes!"
"Um well, I actually have that charm and..."
Kawazoe showed them the charm and told them about the things that happened to her.
"High risk, high return. If impossible wish is granted, bad things come too."
"So basically, wanting to go out with Shinya-senpai is an impossible wish..."
She didn't think the wish was too much to ask for, so she was quite disheartened to hear it.
On the way home, she took the charm off of her cell phone and threw it away on the street.
From that day forward, she stopped talking to Shinya-senpai.
A few days later, she learned that Chihiro had been hospitalized.
She was getting ready to go on an overseas trip that she had won in a contest, and when she left the house she was hit by a car.
